E-invoicing mandatory for businesses with over ₹ 50 cr turnover from Apr 1 The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has made e-invoicing mandatory for businesses with a turnover of more than ₹ 50 crore from April 1. This system was first implemented in October for entities having a turnover above ₹ 500 crore. E-invoicing entails validation of transaction details in a centralised government portal and would make the returns filing process simpler.
